Taylor Swift's 'The Life Of A Showgirl' Breaks Spotify Record Before Release
Taylor Swift’s upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl has smashed records with over five million Spotify pre-saves, beating her own milestone set by The Tortured Poets Department. Spotify is now showcasing top pre-saved releases in its new Countdown Charts, and Swift leads the pack. To celebrate, Swifties can attend a three-day NYC pop-up (Oct. 3–5) packed with Easter eggs ahead of the album’s release on October 3. That same weekend, select cinemas will host The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, featuring the premiere of her Fate of Ophelia video, behind-the-scenes footage, lyric videos, and interactive fan fun. Swift also teased luxurious album editions, complete with photocards, unique poems, and collectible images. To boost the rollout, she’s launched Taylor’s Channel 13 on SiriusXM, airing until Oct. 19 with music spanning her entire career, deep cuts, and live performances.
