Netflix has secured an untitled drama starring and executive produced by Matthew McConaughey and Cole Hauser, developed by True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto and Skydance Sports (now part of Paramount). While details are limited, it’s reportedly set in the world of football and originally focused on two brothers, played by McConaughey and Hauser—who have been friends since Dazed and Confused (1993) and have discussed this project for years. Hauser, known for Rip Wheeler on Yellowstone, will reprise his role in the upcoming spinoff The Dutton Ranch alongside Kelly Reilly and Annette Bening.
