T.J. Hooker Reboot In The Works At Netflix
Netflix is developing a T.J. Hooker movie, turning the iconic 1980s police drama into a feature-length action comedy. Written by Jarrad Paul and Andy Mogel (The Grinder), the reboot reimagines the series that originally starred William Shatner as tough LAPD sergeant Thomas Jefferson “T.J.” Hooker, determined to take down criminals after his partner’s murder. The original show ran from 1982 to 1986 — first on ABC, then finishing its fifth and final season on CBS — with co-stars Adrian Zmed, Heather Locklear, James Darren, and others. A total of 91 episodes were produced and are currently available on Tubi. No word yet on whether Shatner will appear in the Netflix film.
