While juggling his Emmy-nominated role as Secret Service agent Xavier Collins in Hulu’s Paradise, Sterling K. Brown is also suiting up for something even bigger—literally. At San Diego Comic-Con, Brown teased his role in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming live-action Voltron film, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. Joined by Paradise creator Dan Fogelman, Brown shared that the Voltron adaptation will be “big, bodacious, and dynamic,” aiming to reintroduce the beloved 1980s animated classic to a new generation in 2027. The film also stars Rita Ora, John Kim, Daniel Quinn-Toye, and Henry Cavill. Brown stayed tight-lipped about his character but confirmed he plays someone from the original IP. As for the film’s massive scale, he hinted at nearly a year of post-production to complete it, calling the end result “wildly entertaining.” He also expressed interest in signing on for a sequel.
