Kevin Spacey Urges Release Of Epstein Files, Despite FBI Probe Debunking Client List

Kevin Spacey is calling for full transparency in the Jeffrey Epstein case, demanding on social media that the U.S. government "release the Epstein files — all of them." The actor made the statement in a post on X yesterday, saying: “For those of us with nothing to fear, the truth can’t come soon enough,” while also acknowledging that the media has already dragged him into the scandal. This comes after the Justice Department and FBI issued a memo on July 7, concluding there’s no evidence of a “client list,” no blackmail operation, and no foul play in Epstein’s 2019 jail death, which they reaffirmed was a suicide. These findings directly contradict long-running conspiracy theories and past claims by officials, including former U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. Spacey’s name had previously been linked to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in the court of public opinion, though no criminal charges were ever filed against him in connection to the case. His own legal troubles — including multiple sexual assault accusations — derailed his career starting in 2017. He was acquitted of nine charges in a 2023 London trial but remains involved in ongoing legal battles, including a new civil lawsuit filed in the UK.
