"Big Bang Theory" Spinoff A Go At HBO Max
HBO Max has greenlit Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the first Big Bang Theory spinoff made exclusively for streaming. Kevin Sussman returns as Stuart, the comic book store owner, alongside returning cast members Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn, and John Ross Bowie. The plot kicks off when Stuart accidentally breaks one of Sheldon and Leonard’s devices, opening a multiverse. Stuart, girlfriend Denise (Lapkus), geologist Bert (Posehn), and physicist Barry Kripke (Bowie) must then work together to save their original reality—encountering alternate versions of familiar Big Bang characters along the way. The series is co-written by Zak Penn (Ready Player One, The Avengers) and Big Bang creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. This joins CBS spinoffs Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage in expanding the Big Bang multiverse.
