Maren Morris, Lana Del Rey And More Musicians Speak Out In Wake Of Deadly Texas Floods

As the death toll from the Texas floods climbs to at least 94, musicians across genres are speaking out and stepping up to help. The catastrophic flooding, caused by record-breaking rainfall that overwhelmed the Guadalupe River, has devastated central and southern Texas, including beloved summer spots like Camp Mystic, where 10 campers and a counselor remain missing. Texas native Maren Morris posted images and called for donations to the Texas Hill Country Community Foundation, while Lana Del Rey, though not from the region, expressed her sorrow and support in an emotional message referencing the state’s influence on her music. Billie Eilish shared a video from Texas Parks and Wildlife, calling the situation “so sad,” and Shakira, ahead of a San Antonio concert, announced that part of her show’s proceeds would go to Catholic Charities of San Antonio, which is providing flood relief.
