A leading Iranian cleric, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, has issued a fatwa against President Trump, labeling him an “enemy of God.” Shirazi also included Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the declaration, accusing both of committing “mobareb” — an Islamic legal term meaning waging war against God. In the fatwa, Shirazi declared that any support or cooperation with Trump or Netanyahu by Muslims or Islamic states is strictly forbidden (haram). He urged Muslims worldwide to take a stand, saying they must make these leaders “regret their words and mistakes.” Shirazi also stated that Muslims who endure hardship or loss while opposing these figures will be rewarded as fighters in the path of God, adding spiritual significance to resistance efforts. The fatwa reflects heightened religious and political tensions between Iran and the U.S.–Israel alliance.
