Wonder Woman is still part of DC Studios' future under James Gunn and Peter Safran. Gunn confirmed that a new Wonder Woman project is currently being written, although no writer or lead actress has been announced yet. This version will be separate from the Paradise Lost HBO Max series, which is still in development and described as a Game of Thrones-style drama set on Themyscira. This marks a departure from the previous Zack Snyder-led DC universe and confirms that Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 3 is not moving forward. Jenkins said she never walked away and was open to continuing, but DC ultimately decided not to proceed with her version after the underwhelming release of Wonder Woman 1984.
