MGM+ has released the first trailer for The Institute, an eight-episode thriller series based on Stephen King’s 2019 novel. The show centers on gifted children who have been abducted and subjected to disturbing experiments at a secret facility. One child chillingly describes the pain as feeling like “a nail is being hammered into your forehead.” Directed by Jack Bender and written by Benjamin Cavell, The Institute premieres July 13 on MGM+.
