Ryan Reynolds says Deadpool will never officially join the Avengers or X-Men—not because he’s too chaotic (though he definitely is), but because doing so would mark the end of his story. In an interview with Time, Reynolds explained that Deadpool works best on his own, and becoming part of a major team would be “wish fulfillment,” effectively closing the chapter on the character. “If Deadpool becomes an Avenger or X-Men, we’re at the end,” Reynolds said.
