Major Media Group Makes Screeching U-Turn On Top Comic At Famed Awards Dinner After White House Went Ballistic
The White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) has removed comedian Amber Ruffin from performing at this year’s annual dinner after she called the Trump administration “murderers” on a podcast. Ruffin was scheduled to headline the event next month, but the WHCA board unanimously voted to oust her. WHCA President Eugene Daniels stated that the focus should be on “awarding our colleagues” rather than political division. While he didn’t mention Ruffin by name, he noted that the board is planning a “re-envisioning” of the dinner. Ruffin’s removal follows her comments on The Daily Beast podcast, where she claimed Trump’s White House was staffed with “not human beings.”
