Eminem's Former Studio Engineer Charged By FBI In Songs Leak Investigation
A former Eminem employee has been charged by the FBI for leaking unreleased music online. Joseph Strange, 46, faces up to 10 years in prison for criminal copyright infringement and transporting stolen goods after allegedly selling 25 unreleased Eminem songs for $50,000 in Bitcoin to a Canadian fan group. Eminem’s team called the leak “significant damage caused by a trusted employee.” The FBI says the stolen tracks, recorded between 1999 and 2018, surfaced online in January while still in various stages of development.
