However, her fans were able to zone in on the one piece of her outfit that was visible: A pair of ruby red loafers. The footwear sparked conspiracy theories among Swifties, and while most agreed that the shoes were a nod to the Ruby Red Slippers in the Wizard of Oz and therefore could be a potential Easter Egg for her music, others took it to mean something else. One TikToker even triggered multiple suggestions that the misery of Super Bowl defeat spelled the end for the couple. “It almost feels too spot on for everything that we have been talking about for the past couple of months and years with the Wizard of Oz and the stories that Taylor has been telling,” the user said with a screengrab of an article behind her. “I feel that really ramped up towards the end of the Eras Tour where a lot of us were really expecting there to be some sort of closure or full circle moment that we didn't get. So the fact that after the Super Bowl the last game of the season, we see Taylor leaving in her Ruby Red Slippers... the show is over. We're waking up from the dream. It's very much like the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy wakes up, realizes it's all a dream, clacks her heels and goes back home. I do feel like Taylor Swift ghosted after the Super Bowl and she's going to lie low, we won't see her for a couple of weeks.
