Yesterday on The View, the ladies talked about Carrie Underwood‘s announcement that she’ll be performing “America The Beautiful” at Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony on January 20, though all of the cohosts defended her right to do so. “I stand behind her,” said Whoopi Goldberg. “If I believe I have the right to make up my mind to go perform some place, I believe [she has] the same right.” Goldberg then added that she’s not really interested in the event. She said she wouldn’t be watching - and alluded to the day’s other significance, Martin Luther King Day.
