Susan Sarandon Says She's Been Blacklisted In Hollywood Over Palestine Rally Remarks

Susan Sarandon recently shared how her career has suffered following her participation in a pro-Palestine rally last November. At the rally, she commented that Jews in the U.S. are "getting a taste of how it feels to be Muslim in America" after the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. Following backlash, Sarandon apologized, calling her comment a “terrible mistake.” In an interview with The Times, she revealed that her Hollywood agency dropped her, and several projects she was involved in were canceled. Sarandon believes her experience serves as a warning in the industry about the risks of speaking out. She noted how others from various professions have lost their jobs since the rally, including teachers and custodians, over social media interactions on the issue. When asked about her future in major Hollywood films, she expressed uncertainty, indicating that her prospects in the industry might be limited.
