Fans Demand Fox Sports Fire NFL Analyst Michael Strahan Over Act During National Anthem
Fox Sports NFL analyst Michael Strahan faced backlash on social media after he didn’t place his hand over his heart during the national anthem at the NFL pre-game show yesterday, which aired from San Diego Naval Base in honor of Veterans Day. The Fox panel, including Terry Bradshaw, Rob Gronkowski, Curt Menefee, Howie Long, and others, all observed the anthem in the traditional way, with hands over their hearts. Strahan, however, kept his hands interlocked in front of him. Viewers were quick to slam Strahan, with some calling his actions disrespectful to the military. Newsmax host Todd Starnes labeled Strahan’s gesture as "repugnant" and "cowardly," pointing out the irony of Strahan’s stance while surrounded by service members who risk their lives for the country.
