Andrew Garfield would love to reprise his Spider-Man role in a future Marvel film. The actor first played the superhero in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and returned for its 2014 sequel. However, after the second film’s results, Sony didn’t proceed with a third installment and told Esquire that he was “left dangling.” “It was really healing for me,” Garfield told the magazine of The Amazing Spider-Man 3 ultimately getting shelved. Regarding suiting up again, Garfield says that he would be down to do it if there was a great story. “For sure, I would 100 percent come back if it was the right thing, if it’s additive to the culture, if there’s a great concept or something that hasn’t been done before that’s unique and ?odd and exciting and that you can sink your teeth into,” he said. “I love that character, and it brings joy. If part of what I bring is joy, then I’m joyful in return.”
