Kelly Clarkson's Olympic debut didn’t go particularly well, at least in the eyes of some. Alongside Peyton Manning and NBC sports commentator Mike Tirico, Clarkson co-hosted the network's studio coverage of Friday's opening ceremony in Paris — a first-of-its-kind boat parade which was plagued by rain all evening. The reviews of Clarkson's commentary were mixed. Clarkson, Manning and Tirico broadcasted from an NBC on-site studio throughout the opening ceremony. Fans seemed to take aim at Clarkson as she trudged through her first Olympics broadcast. Wrote person wrote: “These opening ceremonies would be more fun if Kelly Clarkson didn’t react to everything that’s happened like she’s never left her house before.” Another wrote: “It’s not terribly awful but I really wish that the NBC commentators wouldn’t feel the need to randomly talk over the show. Just let the images speak for themselves sometimes. I’m talking about you Kelly Clarkson!”
