Margate City, N.J. Mayor Michael Collins is seeking to make amends after a woman confronted Kylie and Jason Kelce outside a Jersey Shore town restaurant this week. Collins addressed the controversy for the first time publicly, which involved an unidentified woman approaching the Kelces outside of Steve & Cookies by the Bay for a photo while the couple was on a date. The woman got pissed after Kylie politely declined. “On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason & Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate City over the holiday weekend,” Collins said in a statement. “As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me.” A video circulated on social media on Tuesday, posted by the “Word to the Wise” podcast, showed the Saturday incident with Kylie Kelce getting into an argument with the woman, who threatened that the Kelces would “never be allowed in this town again.” “I can smell the alcohol on your breath, you’re embarrassing yourself,” Kylie appeared to say before the video cut off.
