Judge Judy Sues The National Enquirer Owner

Judge Judy has taken legal action against the company that owns the National Enquirer for making up a story about her. They claimed she was trying to help the Menendez brothers decades after they killed their parents. The lawsuit names Accelerate360 and A360 Media as defendants. Judy Sheindlin filed the lawsuit in Florida. The Menendez brothers, Lyle and Erik, are in prison for killing their parents in 1989. They got convicted in 1996. Last month, In Touch Weekly, a tabloid owned by the same company as the National Enquirer, published a story called "Inside Judge Judy's Quest to Save the Menendez Brothers Nearly 35 Years After Their Parents' Murder." The National Enquirer also ran a story on its front page titled "True crime! Judge Judy's FIGHT FOR LYLE & ERIK!" The article itself was titled "BALONEY! Judge Judy on Warpath to save Menéndez bros." Judge Judy explained why she's suing: "When you make up stories about me just to make money, without caring about the truth or my reputation, you'll have to pay for it. And if you keep doing it, it's going to cost you even more. I'm taking this stand so you'll finally stop."
