"Tonight Show" Staffers Say Jimmy Fallon Is Erratic, Seems Drunk At Toxic Workplace

Staff members of the “Tonight Show” have leveled accusations against Jimmy Fallon, alleging instances of erratic behavior in what they describe as a challenging work environment. A report published by Rolling Stone yesterday featured accounts from two current and fourteen former employees, spanning roles from production crew members to office staff and show writers. They referred to distinct “good Jimmy days” and “bad Jimmy days.” According to a former employee quoted in the report, there was a sense that nobody dared to challenge Jimmy's decisions, resulting in an atmosphere where everyone tiptoed cautiously, particularly the showrunners. The former employee stated, “You never knew which Jimmy we were going to get and when he was going to throw a hissy fit. Look at how quickly many showrunners came and went; we know they didn't last long.” However, it's worth noting that some sources have pointed out that many of these allegations stem from former staffers and that the work environment has undergone significant changes since new showrunner Chris Miller assumed the role in May of last year. One source said: “He's brought a renewed sense of enthusiasm and positivity to the show. Chris takes pride in being accessible to the staff and maintaining transparent leadership. He's precisely what the show needed.” Additionally, two employees claimed that Jimmy appeared to be intoxicated at work in 2017, while a couple of others reported having detected the odor of alcohol on his breath during separate encounters in an elevator in 2019 and 2020. Krystie Lee Yandoli, the woman who wrote the article for Rolling Stone, appeared on "Entertainment Tonight" yesterday.
