According to a lawsuit filed by Zohar's mother, Alexis Adams, who is a single mom to a special needs child, the apartment complex's owners and managers, a construction company, a window installer, and others are being sued for the hazardous condition of the windows on the building that caused the incident. Adams expressed her devastation and anger, stating that she is struggling to come to terms with the fact that her only child suffered severe injuries due to the willful negligence of their landlord and others involved in failing to take necessary safety measures. The lawsuit seeks damages, attorney fees, and money for Zohar's medical bills, claiming that the building owners, managers, and maintenance companies failed to install the appropriate guards on the windows at the apartment.
