Paramount+ has given the go-ahead to a new chapter in the Star Trek universe. The streaming service has ordered a series called Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, which will follow the adventures of a group of cadets as they come of age in one of the most iconic places in the galaxy. The show, produced by CBS Studios, is set to start production in 2024. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy will introduce us to a young group of cadets who will learn the ins and outs of becoming Starfleet officers under the strict guidance of their instructors. Along the way, they'll deal with blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves, and a new enemy that threatens the Academy and the Federation itself.
