Vertigo Remake In The Works At Paramount With Robert Down Jr. To Star

Paramount Pictures has obtained the rights to produce a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's classic psychological thriller "Vertigo" from 1958. The studio is currently eyeing Robert Downey Jr. to play the lead role, originally portrayed by James Stewart. The plot revolves around a former police detective who is compelled to retire after a work-related occurrence leaves him with vertigo and an intense fear of heights.
