During a recent interview on Andrew Goldman's The Originals podcast, Chaka Khan commented on her ranking as number 29 on Rolling Stone's list of The 200 Greatest Singers of All Time. When Goldman mentioned that Mariah Carey had placed fifth on the list, Khan jokingly suggested that Carey may have bribed someone at the magazine. Khan also expressed her disbelief at Adele's ranking at number 22 and Mary J. Blige's ranking at number 25, stating that the Rolling Stone editors must be blind and in need of hearing aids. She even went as far as to say that they must be the children of Helen Keller. Furthermore, Khan disagreed with Joan Baez's inclusion on the list at number 189, stating that while Baez was a good writer, she cannot sing.
