Closings For Wednesday January 8th 2020

 

Anne Arundel County Public Schools: Due to inclement weather, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late today. There will be no morning half-day pre-kindergarten or ECI classes, and no morning sessions at the Centers of Applied Technology North or South. Students in full-day pre-kindergarten classes will have class, and should report two hours later than normal. Today's Board of Education meeting will begin at 10 a.m. as scheduled. 

 

Calvert County Public Schools: Calvert County Public Schools will be opening 2 hours late today. 12-month staff will report on time. See the Emergency Codes in Quick Links on the CCPS main website for more information.

 

Charles County Public Schools: Due to inclement weather conditions, all Charles County public schools will open two-hours late today, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020. There is a code two, which is a two-hour delay, for staff who follow the code system. The AlphaBest program at county elementary schools will open at 8 a.m. today and all morning prekindergarten classes are canceled. King George County Public Schools: KGCS Families - KGCS is now closed from a 2-hour delay due to icy conditions and several accidents. Code 1 for 12 month employees. No one is to report.

 

Prince George's County Public Schools: Wednesday,  January 8, 2020 - Code Orange: PGCPS schools and offices will open with a two-hour delay. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave. There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school. There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK. Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park, and William S.
