(Prince Frederick, MD) – The below incidents, investigations, and arrests are, in part, demonstrative of the Prince Frederick Barrack’s effort to ensure that Calvert County is a safe place to live, work, and visit.
Disorderly Conduct - On October 1, 2020, TFC Kelly was dispatched to 1165 White Sands Drive, Lusby, Maryland, for a reported 2nd degree assault that had already occurred. Upon arrival, TFC Kelly made contact with the complainant, Elizabeth Lynne Jazwinski, DOB: 1/26/1965. Jazwinski stated that her neighbor, Michael Stephen Kubisiak, DOB: 09/26/1991, assaulted her as he was passing by. TFC Kelly arrived on scene and while speaking to Kubisiak, he became disorderly. As a result, Kubisiak was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and 2nd degree assault and then transported to CCDC without incident.
CDS Possession - Oxycodone – On October 1, 2020, TFC Rucker conducted a traffic stop on Route 4 at Brickhouse House. While speaking to the driver, Jason Roy Hoyer, DOB: 03/11/1989, TFC Rucker detected to odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and oxycodone. Hoyer was subsequently placed under arrest for CDS: Possession – Oxycodone, and transported to CCDC without incident.
Unauthorized Use / CDS Possession - Heroin – On October 2, 2020, the complainant, Kristie Lynn Hoover, DOB: 06/15/1985, responded to the Prince Frederick Barrack to report her vehicle was in the possession of her boyfriend, Randall Keith Howes, Jr., DOB: 04/23/1985 and that he had failed to return the vehicle to her when she indicated it needed to be back. The vehicle was observed by Troopers traveling in front of the Prince Frederick Barrack. A traffic stop of the vehicle in the area of Main Street and Calvert Towne Road. Howes was found to be in possession of heroin at the time of the traffic stop, initiated for the reported unauthorized use of the vehicle. Howes will be served on a Criminal Summons by TFC Rucker.
CDS Possession - Heroin – On October 3, 2020, TFC Kelly conducted a traffic stop in the area of 15 Cove Point Road, Lusby, Maryland. A search of the vehicle revealed three hypodermic syringes with suspected heroin residue. The driver, Anthony Allen Cantrell, DOB: 9/5/1993, was arrested and charged with CDS: Possession – Heroin. Cantrell was transported to CCDC without incident.
2 nd Degree Assault (Domestic) - On October 4, 2020, TFC Fraser was dispatched to 7025 Sawmill Road, Lusby, Maryland, for a reported 2nd degree assault that had already occurred. Upon arrival, TFC Fraser made contact with the complainant, Thomas Hamilton Ellis, DOB: 1/4/1974. Ellis stated that his wife, Melanie Lee Wigton, DOB: 9/9/1974, assaulted him as a result of a previous verbal argument. Wigton freely admitted to both shoving and punching Ellis. As a result, Wigton was arrested for 2 nd degree assault and then transported to CCDC without incident.
CDS Possession – Buprenorphine / Alprazolam – On October 6, 2020, TFC Fraser was checking the welfare of a subject reportedly passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle in the parking lot of Wal-Mart. A search of the vehicle revealed both Buprenorphine and Alprazolam present on the vehicle. The driver, Jonathan Eliot Williams, DOB: 4/19/1989, was arrested and charged with CDS: Possession – Buprenorphine and CDS: Possession - Alprazolam. Cantrell was transported to CCDC without incident.
2 nd Degree Assault (Domestic) - On October 6, 2020, TFC Smith was dispatched to 114 Raymond’s Way, Prince Frederick, Maryland, for a reported 2nd degree assault that had already occurred. Upon arrival, TFC Smith made contact with the suspect, James Devaughn Wilkerson, DOB: 7/30/1985. Wilkerson immediately admitted to assaulting a roommate, Mary Robin Kosmas, DOB: 9/5/1965. An investigation revealed Wilkerson had assaulted multiple people at the residence, and not just Kosmas. Wilkerson also assaulted a responding EMT who was checking him for injuries. After being transported to CalvertHealth Medical Center, Wilkerson again assaulted a hospital security staff member by kicking them in the leg. As a result, Wilkerson was arrested and charged for multiple counts of 2 nd degree assault, and after being medically cleared, was transported to CCDC without further incident.
Malicious Destruction of Property (MDOP) - On October 10, 2020, TFC Backus was dispatched to Calvert Towne Drive, Prince Frederick, Maryland, for a reported MDOP that had already occurred. Upon arrival, TFC Backus made contact with the complainant, Amy Lydelle Clayton Holland, DOB: 9/8/1964. Holland stated that her relative, Chinon Lakeisha Holland, DOB: 12/22/1987, was sitting in her vehicle when the suspect, identified as Ambrose Matthew Kyler, DOB: 9/4/1975, started throwing pennies and rocks at the vehicle, causing damage. TFC Backus is obtaining a Criminal Summons for Kyler for MDOP.
