Burglary: 18-53781
On October 4, 2018 Deputy Callison responded to Breezy Point Beach, Chesapeake Beach for the report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between October 2nd at 8:00 AM and October 3rd an unknown suspect(s) stole a Stihl chainsaw from the maintenance shed. The value of stolen property is approximately $150. 

 

Damaged Property: 18-53160
On October 1, 2018 Deputy R. Evans responded to Auto Collision Center in St. Leonard for the report of damaged property. The complainant advised he went out to look at one of the vehicles he painted and noticed the paint was peeling off. He believes someone threw paint thinner on the vehicle to damage it. The estimated value of damaged property is $6,000.

On October 5, 2018 Deputy Childress responded to Pushaw Station Road, Sunderland for the report of damaged property. The complainant advised sometime between October 4th at 11:00 AM and October 5th at 11:00 AM an unknown suspect(s) cut out the picture on one of her campaign signs. The value of damaged property is $20. 

 

Damaged Property: 18-54380
On October 7, 2018 Deputy Childress responded to Main Street, Prince Frederick for the report of damaged property. The complainant advised sometime between October 6th at 7:30 PM and October 7th at 8:00 AM an unknown suspect(s) tore down one of his campaign signs and left it in the front yard. The value of damaged property is $31. 

 

Theft: 18-53068
On October 1, 2018 Deputy Parks responded to German Chapel Road, Prince Frederick for the report of a theft. The complainant advised on September 29th an unknown suspect(s) broke into two of his work trucks and stole tools and equipment from them. The value of stolen property is $4,880. 

 

Theft: 18-53352
On October 2, 2018 Deputy Rzepkowski responded to Olympia Sports in Dunkirk for the report of a theft. The complainant advised two unidentified females entered the store, one went into the dressing room while the other handed her items, then they left without paying for anything. The complainant checked the dressing room they were in and observed 4 shirt hangers under the bench that were not there prior to the females coming in. The estimated value of stolen property is less than $100. 

 

ARRESTS: 

On October 1, 2018 Deputy Rzepkowski responded to the area of Plaza Drive, Dunkirk for the report of a male passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle. The subject, Kevin Mchale Daley (28), was awoken by other officers on scene and asked to exit the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed an open Suboxone film wrapper with a piece of Suboxone inside, as well as two more opened Suboxone wrappers. Daley was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana. 

 

On October 2, 2018 Deputy Ostazeski responded to Pawnee Lane, Lusby for the report of an unresponsive subject behind the wheel of their vehicle. The subject, George Dale Scruggs Jr. (26), was awoken by emergency personnel and standing outside the vehicle when Deputy Ostazeski arrived. A search of the vehicle revealed over 20 grams of marijuana as well as several smoking devices. Scruggs was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession of Marijuana > 10 grams. 

 

On October 2, 2018 Deputy Wood conducted a traffic stop on Southern Maryland Blvd and Morning Glory Lane, Dunkirk. A search of the vehicle revealed a leather purse with suspected heroin in a folded receipt. The driver, Dana Bianca Taylor (40), admitted the purse was hers. She also admitted to having a bowl for smoking marijuana as well as a container with marijuana hidden in her bra. Taylor was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Contraband in a Place of Confinement.

 

On October 3, 2018 Deputy N. Buckler responded to Roland’s in Chesapeake Beach for the report of a subject passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle. The driver, Kevin Mchale Daley (28), was asleep in the driver’s seat. A search of the vehicle revealed an open Suboxone wrapper that contained a piece of Suboxone. Daley was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana. 

 

On October 3, 2018 Deputy Sampson conducted a traffic stop near the Southern Maryland Community Network, Prince Frederick. The driver, Toni Malinda Davis (41), was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests due to her slurred speech and extremely small pupil size. A search of the vehicle revealed a clear cut straw with suspected heroin residue and a plastic baggie of suspected heroin. Davis was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia. 

 

On October 3, 2018 Deputy Cress responded to the Chesapeake Beach Waterpark for the report of a burglary. The complainant advised a golf cart on the property had been moved, and surveillance video showed a male inside the waterpark around 4:30 AM. Officers were to identify the male as Khamali Thomas (24) and located him right down the road. Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with 4th Degree Burglary.

 

On October 7, 2018 Deputy Deleon conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hallowing Point Road, Prince Frederick. The driver, Dru Mathew Maguire (19), stated he did not have a license and that he had never had a license. The vehicle Maguire was driving did not belong to him or the other passengers in the vehicle. Maguire was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, Theft Scheme: $1,500-$25,000, Theft Scheme: Less than $100 and multiple traffic citations.
