The Charles County Historic Preservation Commission will be hosting a presentation on the historic Hughesville Commercial and Tobacco Warehouse District on Monday, July 16 at 6 p.m. at the Port Tobacco Courthouse (8450 Commerce Street, Port Tobacco). This presentation is to document the key historic themes and resources in the Hughesville village, as well as build upon its unique history as the area redevelops.
 
The presenter is Nicole Diehlmann, a noted architectural historian who is in the process of completing a National Register of Historic Places nomination for review by the Maryland Historical Trust and the National Park Service.
