Benedict Cumberbatch and his family faced a terrifying knife attack at their London home by a former hotel chef. Jack Bissell, 35, forcefully entered their property, damaging the front gate and ripping off the intercom while making menacing threats. Cumberbatch, his wife Sophie Hunter, and their children were present and heard Bissell's aggressive actions and abusive language. Bissell even damaged the garden by throwing a plant, spitting at the intercom, and prying it loose with a fish knife. The family was understandably terrified, fearing for their safety, but fortunately, Bissell did not manage to harm them. After fleeing, Bissell was arrested based on DNA evidence found on the intercom. He later admitted to criminal damage in court, receiving a £250 fine and a three-year restraining order preventing him from approaching the Cumberbatch family or their area of residence.
