Actress Raquel Welch has died at the age of 82 following a brief illness, her business manager confirmed yesterday. Steve Sauer told CNN that she died in Los Angeles yesterday morning following a brief illness. Her son also confirmed her death to the Washington Post, but wouldn’t cite a specific cause. Welch rose to fame from her back-to-back roles in Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years B.C. in 1966. She went on to see much success as a movie star in the 1960s and 1970s, earning a Golden Globe for her role in The Three Musketeers in 1974. By 1995, Welch was named one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History in an issue of Empire magazine, and was ranked No. 3 in Playboy's 100 Sexiest Stars of the 20th Century.
