Southern Maryland Perspectives is a 30 minute show on Sunday Mornings that talks about all things Southern Maryland. Dr. Bradley Gottfried of the College of Southern Maryland hosts the show and every Sunday has a different guest. Dr. Gottfried is the fourth president of the College of Southern Maryland, appointed in July, 2006. Prior to his association with CSM, Dr. Gottfried served as president of Sussex County Community College in New Jersey, as the dean of academic affairs and the interim director of distance learning at Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) in Pennsylvania, and campus dean at the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac. He has chaired academic departments at Armstrong State College and the College of St. Catherine, and has been on the faculty of those two institutions as well as at the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac and Mount Mercy College. He holds a Ph.D. in Zoology from Miami University of Ohio, a master’s in biology from Western Illinois University, and a bachelor’s in biology from West Chester University. He is an eight-time author of Civil War history books as well as a writer of numerous articles and presentations.
